Interesting Facts: I have 5 years experience teaching high school English including 2 years at Lake Havasu High School. I have also taught in Ely, NV and Las Vegas, NV.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom and a daycare provider. I am excited to make a return to teaching through Havasuonline. I am also excited to teach online and to become acquainted with the flexibility and technological innovations of education through the Internet.

Interesting Facts: I grew up in Southern California and left to go to the beautiful northwest (Eastern Washington) for my degree. After a few years there, my family and I came down to the desert and we love it here. This is my second year teaching at Lake Havasu High School and my first year with online education. I am an assistant football coach and the Junior Varsity Girl's Basketball Coach.

I am very excited to be involved with this next wave of educational change - online education. It is not only my goal to teach my courses effectively, but also to help make this program as successful as possible.

Interesting Facts: I played division 1 volleyball for Utah State University all four years I attended. I am originally from Saskatchewan, but love the Arizona weather! I have taught Physical Education, Aerobics and Health for 10 years at Lake Havasu High School. I am currently the varsity volleyball coach and wellness coordinator for the Lake Havasu Unified School District. I enjoy getting to know students and finding out what motivates them to achieve high levels of success. I am truly looking forward to teaching online classes and getting to know each student even though we will not be meeting face to face.

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona, Masters from Northern Arizona University
Interesting Facts: I am originally from Italy. I speak Spanish, French, and Italian, as well as a few other languages. My teaching experience includes having taught French, English, ESL, and Italian at all grade levels (K through Graduate School). I am currently teaching Spanish at Lake Havasu High School.

I am the faculty advisor to the Interact Club and the Educational Tour Group. During the summer I take students to Europe, Central America, and South America.

Havasuonline is a very important program to me and is my first experience with teaching a World Language online. Student and parent input is extremely important and valuable. Please e-mail me your suggestions or feedback so that we can make this program successful together.

Interesting Facts: I became interested in geology while teaching 6th grade curriculum, and the Physical Sciences way back in college.

I have worked with the Lake Havasu Unified School District for 12 years, 5 years at high school level and 7 years at the middle school level.

I enjoy working as on online instructor because I can learn more about the subjects I teach and enjoy. Also, I realize there are more and more students whose lives do not fit into the traditional school setting and calendar, and online classed provide an opportunity to complete requirements for graduation they would not have.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Pennsylvania State University
Interesting Facts: I have been teaching with the Lake Havasu Unified School District for 27 years. Currently, I am the Auditorium Director for the Lake Havasu Center of the Performing Arts. I am also the Director of the Lake Havasu Community Choir and St. Michael's United Methodist Church. I enjoy musical theater, and am involved as actor, pit player, audio-lighting tech, and house manager.

Personally, I have never embraced the "9-to-5" mentality. I understand that life schedules may require accomplishing things at all kind of odd hours. I have many personal interests that vie for my time constantly. If you're like me, online classes are a great opportunity to work at a pace that is comfortable for you and your learning style. Online education enables you to study at times and locations that are convenient for you. Being an instructor, online instruction affords me much the same flexibility.

Interesting Facts: I have been a high school math instructor for nearly 29 years now. As a Havasuonline instructor I strive to provide the best education possible, and hope that my students will be as dedicated. If each student could participate with a positive "can do" attitude, there is no telling how far they might go or what they could achieve. "You won't know unless you try", is an important saying I like. Students, teachers, administrators, and parents — we are all in education together. Hopefully we are all striving for the same goal.

I volunteered to be an online instructor because this is a new and exciting high-tech way for students to achieve their educations goals, with the flexibility that enables them to be really successful. I love working with students and computers, and look forward to the students I'll get to teach at Havasuonline.

Interesting Facts: I started my teaching career with the United States Army Military Intelligence Center in 1992. I was the first sergeant awarded the Master Instructor badge by the Intelligence center. I have been teaching in Arizona since 2001 and this is my second year with the Lake Havasu Unified School District.

I have been an assistant coach for football. A yearbook advisor, Student Government Advisor and Journalism Advisor. I look forward to giving students the opportunity to overcome challenges and be successful.

Prior to joining the district team, I taught for 6 years at a different public high school and 2 years at a private elementary school.

Interesting Facts: I have been teaching Physical Education at Lake Havasu High School for 18 years. I am also the PE department chairperson. Over the years I have coached all levels of Girls' Basketball, Freshman Volleyball, and Girls' Tennis. I love all kinds of physical activities, health, wellness, and nutrition. I'm also fascinated with sociology and how people interact and enrich each other's lives. I'm excited to be able to share my enthusiasm for learning with Havasuonline. I have taken many online classes and I really appreciate the freedom to do the course when I want and at my own pace. Education: Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Defense Language Institute graduate in Modern Standard Arabic and Syrian Dialect
Interesting Facts: My language interest started when I was a foreign exchange student to Colombia in high school. I continued my Spanish studies in college, where I also studied German and Portuguese. I served several years in the Military Intelligence field of the Army as an Arabic linguist. I have recently lived in Cairo, Egypt and Dubai, United Arab Emirates where I worked at the US Embassy, Cairo, and at the US Consulate, Dubai.

I currently teach Spanish at Lake Havasu High School. I have taught levels 1, 2 and 3. I have also taught several levels of Arabic.

Interesting Facts: I was previously employed as a Native Fisheries Biologist on Lake Havasu. I coauthored an article, "Reproductive Ecology and Growth of a Captive Population of Little Colorado Spinedace," that was published in Copeia, 1998. Copeia is a broadly based scientific journal of the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (ASIH). It publishes results of original research performed by members in which fish, amphibians, or reptiles are utilized as study organisms.

I enjoy baseball and have coached at the high school, middle school, and city league levels.

I have taught biology and chemistry at the community college level as well as for Lake Havasu High School.

Interesting Facts: I have gained most of my 10 years of teaching experience by working overseas (Venezuela, France, Ecuador, and Thailand). I have taught college students at Arizona State University (ASU), as well as High School students in Phoenix Union High School District and Dysart Unified School District.

I truly believe that instilling a love of the language, and a joy of learning and an appreciation for the ability to communicate effectively can be done in any setting. An online foreign language classroom can definitely create the optimal conditions for a positive learning environment, focusing on each student's proficiency, needs and progress, and I am very excited to become part of the havasuonline.org community.

Interesting Facts: I have been teaching at Lake Havasu High School since 2004 and I am excited to be a part of Havasuonline. I have taught for Havasuonline for the past two years and I am very excited about our future. I like the flexibility that online learning provides for students. It gives students the chance to learn on their time schedule, in addition to taking classes that are not traditionally offered at the ground campus.

Interesting Facts: I grew up in Lake Havasu City and attended public school from grades K-12. I have been teaching for the Lake Havasu High School Business Department since 2003. I enjoy coaching tennis to all ages year round, and am certified with USPTA as a professional tennis instructor. I enjoy running my own private business called Big Dog Tennis (named after my giant bull mastiff).

I love the challenge of teaching inside and outside of the classroom. Encountering all levels of students and being able to learn from them as well is rewarding. I think that the students who recognize and are taking advantage of this amazing high-technology way of learning are at the forefront of something big in education. The ability for students to access this new way of learning and also being able to choose which subjects to apply this learning style to is a breakthrough for students and also for teachers.

We are passed the point of whether we need to understand technology. We are technology. This current generation feeds off technology and will depend on it more and more into the future.

Interesting Facts: Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I hate the snow and being cold. Naturally, Lake Havasu is a great fit for me. I teach at Lake Havasu High School, Coach SpiritLine at the high school and Thunderbolt Middle School and Teach online. I am busy, but in my free time, I love to exercise, read and scrapbook. I am also committed to raising money for Breast Cancer Research and will be walking 60 miles in November for the Susan G. Komen for the cure foundation.
